About Melissa
I am a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) trained psychotherapist and limited licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of borderline personality disorder, suicidal ideation, self-injury, bipolar disorder, oppositional behavior, and other disorders that involve intense emotions, out of control behaviors, and self-injury. I have completed advanced training and certification in
treatment of personality disorders and trauma.
I have worked in public schools, community mental health, and hospital settings. It's never too early to start therapy, and it's never, ever too late.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy...What is it?
DBT was developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., for the treatment of borderline personality disorder, particularly for individuals who had attempted suicide or self-injured. The components of DBT include mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills. Now widely used to treat many disorders, DBT is one of several treatment modalities I offer.
I completed my DBT training through Dr. Linehan's prestigious
Behavioral Tech Institute.
